The Small Business Administration’s minority business 8(a)
program was established to help small minority firms compete for
federal contracts. When working with a quality firm such as
TRI-FORCE, the SBA 8(a) program is a tremendous tool that
benefits all parties concerned.
The U. S. Small Business Administration
(SBA) has certified Tri-Force Consulting Services, Inc. as an 8(a) and Socially and Economically
Disadvantaged Business (SEDB) firm starting from September
9th, 2005.
Why should federal buyers use 8(a) contractors?
- Contracts can be sole sourced, no competition required up to $3M.
- Administrative time is reduced (faster awards). Contracts can be awarded in weeks.
- Reduces contract protests.
- No competition reduces the paperwork required from technical POC’s prior to and after the award.
- The 8(a) company and Government customer can discuss technical and personnel requirements before and during contract preparation.
- The minority firm is required to perform 51% of the contract. This allows the buyer to add non-minority companies if additional capabilities are required under the contract.
- Most contracting offices prefer 8(a) set asides compared to competitive contracts.
Why does your contracting officer want 8(a) contractors?
- No competition reduces the paperwork required from the contracting office.
- All Federal contracting offices have 8(a) contract goals/requirements.
- Contract protests are few and far between for 8(a) sole source awards.
Any federal agency with the need for Information Technology, Engineering or other Technical services may contact us to further explore the benefits of contracting with a quality 8(a) company. We would be glad to meet with your organization to discuss how TRI-FORCE can support your organization’s mission.
